International Exhibition: “The UAE Model for Simulating and Anticipating Human Rights in the Future”

The Union Association for Human Rights (UAHR), in collaboration with the National Library and Archives and the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, organized an international exhibition at the United Nations Square in Geneva from 2 to 4 July 2024. The exhibition was held under the title “The UAE Model for Simulating and Anticipating Human Rights in the Future,” on the sidelines of the Association’s participation in the 56th Session of the UN Human Rights Council.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al-Kaabi, President of the UAHR, with the participation and attendance of a number of representatives from international organizations, UN rapporteurs, diplomatic missions, and civil and community leaders interested in human rights.
The exhibition witnessed wide international engagement, where it showcased the UAE’s efforts and achievements in the field of human rights, and highlighted the importance of the “Summit of the Future” in shaping the United Nations’ future agenda. It also presented an important overview about the UAE’s advanced model for protecting and promoting of human rights, which is based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may Allah protect him), and the country’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

- An international platform to convey the UAE’s humanitarian message and strengthen its position in promoting rights and freedoms.
- Highlighting the UAE’s leadership in human rights, including civil and political rights, as well as economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights.
- Showcasing the UAE’s experience in essential areas such as:
- Women’s empowerment
- Protection of the rights of people of determination
- Combating human trafficking and money laundering
- Protection of the rights of workers, inmates, and senior citizens
- Promotion of freedom of expression, tolerance, and coexistence
- Simulating the future of human rights through a focus on innovation, artificial intelligence, and pioneering human rights governance.
- Enhancing international engagement and expanding partnerships with civil society, UN bodies, and international organizations.
