The UAHR organizes three international exhibitions in Geneva reflecting the UAE’s leadership in peace, climate action, and digital justice

Overview of the human rights and cultural exhibitions – Geneva, October 2024:
The UAHR organized three international human rights and cultural exhibitions at the United Nations Palace Square in Geneva, held from 29 September to 9 October 2024, in conjunction with its participation in the 57th Session of the UN Human Rights Council.
The exhibitions lasted for ten days, were co-organized with a number of international NGOs holding consultative status with the United Nations. The events saw remarkable international interaction, attracting visitors from diplomatic missions, UN agencies, university students, special rapporteurs, international experts, civil society leaders, and community and human rights figures.
The exhibitions featured a total of 136 awareness-raising human rights posters, along with 20 fixed posters highlighting the UAE’s journey in protecting and promoting human rights for targeted groups. The displays reflected the UAE’s commitment to civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights within its vision for inclusive justice and sustainable development.
First Exhibition: Peace, Tolerance, and Coexistence in the UAE
Overview:
The exhibition presented the UAE’s pioneering experience in spreading a culture of peace and the values of tolerance and human coexistence. It highlighted national and international initiatives, as well as documents and practices that have positioned the UAE as a hub for cultural and religious diversity and an active partner in enhancing international peace and security.
Importance of the exhibition:
- Showcasing the UAE’s efforts in promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence locally and globally.
- Documenting the UAE’s partnerships with international religious and humanitarian institutions.
- Highlighting the work of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and the “Document on Human Fraternity” signed in Abu Dhabi in 2019.
Second Exhibition: Climate Protection and Environmental Safety in the UAE
Overview:
This exhibition focused on the UAE’s environmental policies and initiatives in areas of renewable energy, climate neutrality, natural resource management, and combating climate change. It also highlighted the country’s role in hosting COP28 and its participation in global environmental initiatives.
Importance of the exhibition:
- Presenting a practical Emirati model for sustainable climate action.
- Supporting the UAE’s vision to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
- Documenting the UAE’s initiatives in the green economy and biodiversity conservation.
Third Exhibition: Smart Digital Justice in the UAE
Overview:
The exhibition addressed the concept of digital justice in the context of the transformation of judicial and human rights services into a smart digital environment. It showed the UAE’s digital transformation initiatives in the judicial and human rights fields, such as digital courts, AI systems, and data governance designed to achieve fairness, transparency, and speedy access to justice.
Importance of the exhibition:
- Highlighting the digital transformation of the justice and human rights sectors.
- Demonstrating the role of technology in ensuring justice, combating crime, and protecting data.
- Presenting the UAE as a model for sustainable justice and digital governance in accordance with international best practices.
Accompanying Exhibition – Fixed Posters
The event also included 20 fixed display posters showcasing the country’s major milestones in fostering civil, political, social, economic, and cultural rights. Furthermore, the posters featured inspiring quotes from national leaders, emphasizing the human being as the UAE’s most valuable asset. They also shed light on the country’s care for the most vulnerable groups, such as children, women, senior citizens, people of determination, and workers.
