The Board of Directors of the Union Association for Human Rights affirmed that the announcement by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in March 2024 that the UAE has fully implemented all 15 recommendations in its action plan reflects the real and true success of economic rights in the country.

The Board praised the efforts made by the UAE in this regard, emphasizing that the announcement in March 2024 announcement is a recognition of the country’s success in strengthening its international financial and investment position. It also highlights the UAE’s alignment with international standards that contribute to supporting its progress and commitment to advanced international standards and indicators, in accordance with the international best practices and in line with the country’s national strategy to combat international crime and its close links to human rights.

The Board said that this tangible progress serves the UAE community in developing its human rights environment and trusting its financial and banking institutions related to the promotion of economic rights within the country. The Board added that this progress also raises the level of trust and reliability in the stability and development of the country, and reflects the exceptional efforts made by various state agencies and all civil society organizations operating in it. All this contributes to achieving welfare and prosperity and confirms the country’s quest to lead in transparency and sustainable development indicators.
