A complaint is submitted by the affected individual or their legal representative, who has a direct right to the complaint. The UAHR is required to respond to the actions taken regarding the complaint.
A report is provided by someone who is not personally affected, has no direct right in the matter, and has witnessed or become aware of human rights violations. The UAHR is not obligated to respond to the person providing the report. However, any information received is verified and addressed if proven true.

One can apply for membership in the Union Association for Human Rights through the “Contact Us” platform on the official website. The application requires filling out a form and attaching the following documents:
The applicant is notified of the Board of Directors’ decision regarding their application. If the application is approved, the applicant must pay the membership fees within fifteen (15) days from the date of notification. If the application is rejected, the applicant is informed of the reasons and has the right to appeal to the General Assembly at its next meeting. The applicant may also appeal to the Ministry or the local authority.
Membership fees cover an entire year, starting from January 1st and ending on December 31st of the same year. For the first year, fees apply from joining until December 31st of that year.
