As part of her official field visit to the UAE, H.E. Ms. Mama Fatima Singhateh, UN Special Rapporteur on the Sale and Sexual Exploitation of Children at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and her accompanying delegation met with a delegation from the Union Association for Human Rights (UAHR), led by H.E. Dr. Fatima Al-Kaabi, President of the UAHR.

The meeting discussed the efforts of the UAE and civil society to strengthen child protection, with particular focus on the initiatives led by the UAHR in the field of children’s rights, especially in combating child sale and sexual exploitation. Both sides also discussed prospects for future cooperation in this vital field.
