The UAHR participated in a meeting with the delegation of the Arab Charter Committee on Human Rights Committee of the League of Arab States, chaired by H.E. Mr. Jaber Al-Marri, Chairman of the Committee. The meeting was held as part of the Association’s preparations to take part as an observer in the upcoming review of the UAE’s national report, scheduled for January.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al-Kaabi, President of the Association, and Counselor Maryam Al-Ahmadi, Vice Chairperson, Union Association for Human Rights. Discussions focused on the content of the shadow report that the Association plans to submit and the mechanisms for its participation in the formal review sessions.
